Terms of Service

Draft v0.1, 2026-10-16. Lawyer review pending. Placeholders in [brackets].

These Terms govern your use of Parel ("the Service"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [entity type], [registered address], India ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy, which are part of them.

1. What the Service is

The Service gives software agents (for example Claude, or your own code) access to third-party data tools such as web search, email finding, SEO data and social media data, through one connector and one API. Each call is charged from a prepaid balance of credits denominated in Indian rupees. The underlying data comes from third-party providers ("Providers"). We do not own or control the Providers' data.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
  • You are responsible for everything done with your API keys and connector sign-ins. Keep them secret. Tell us immediately at hello@parel.si if a key may have leaked; we will revoke it.
  • One person or organisation may hold one free signup credit. Creating multiple accounts to obtain extra free credit is a breach of these Terms.

3. Credits, pricing and billing

  • Credits are prepaid and closed-loop. They can be used only to pay for calls on the Service. They are not money, cannot be transferred to anyone else, cannot be withdrawn as cash, and earn no interest.
  • Prices are shown per call in rupees before and after each call. Prices can change at any time; the price shown at the time of the call applies.
  • Failed calls are free. If a call fails for any reason (a Provider error, a timeout, an error on our side, or a result our rules classify as "no result"), you are charged ₹0 for it. See the Refund Policy for the full rules, including how to report a bad result.
  • Top-up fee. Each top-up pack includes a fee shown at checkout, which covers payment processing. The credit value you receive is shown separately.
  • Free credit granted at signup or in promotions is promotional, non-refundable, and may expire or be withdrawn.
  • Taxes. Prices are shown [inclusive/exclusive] of GST. Our payment partner issues invoices. [Confirm with CA: whether invoices carry input-tax-credit details for B2B customers.]
  • Refunds of money are made only under the Refund Policy and only to the original payment method.
  • Budgets and caps. We may apply daily or monthly spend caps to protect you and us. You can set your own caps in the dashboard.

4. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no spam or bulk unsolicited messaging, no harvesting of personal data beyond what the law and the Providers' terms allow, no reselling of raw Provider data, no attempts to break the Service or the Providers. We are contractually responsible to our Providers for your calls, so we enforce this strictly. We may suspend or close accounts that breach it, with notice where practical, and without refund of promotional credit.

5. Third-party data and Provider terms

  • Results come from Providers and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You are responsible for how you use them, including complying with any law that applies to contacting people or processing their data.
  • Some Providers impose their own terms on the data they return (for example, limits on caching or redistribution). We pass those obligations on to you where they apply and will tell you which tools they affect in the tool documentation.
  • We may add, change or remove tools and switch the Provider behind a tool at any time. Tool names, inputs and outputs are designed to stay stable; we will give notice of breaking changes where we reasonably can.

6. Your data

How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy. In brief: we log calls to bill you and to run the Service; personal data inside your inputs is hashed in our logs; we never sell your query data; and we do not share one customer's results with another.

7. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. Providers can fail, and we depend on them. Planned maintenance will be announced on the status page. Support is by email at hello@parel.si during [hours].

8. Intellectual property

We own the Service, its software and its documentation. You own your inputs and, subject to the Providers' terms, the results you receive. You give us a licence to process your inputs to provide the Service.

9. Warranties and liability

  • The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including accuracy of results.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

10. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard; unused paid credit is refunded under the Refund Policy. We can suspend or close your account for breach, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practical.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will give at least 15 days' notice of material changes by email and in the dashboard. Continued use after that is acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [city] have exclusive jurisdiction. [Lawyer: consider arbitration clause.]
